Privacy Policy
Last updated 10/30/2026
All file processing happens in your browser. Check details, payee names and bank account numbers are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. Our servers store only your email address, plan and license.
This policy explains what [LEGAL NAME], doing business as BankFileKit ("we" or "us"), collects when you use the BankFileKit website and tools, and what we do with it.
What stays in your browser
When you add a QuickBooks report, Excel file or CSV file, your browser reads it and builds your bank file on your computer. These never reach our servers:
- your files and the bank files you make
- check numbers, amounts, dates and payee names
- routing numbers and bank account numbers
To save you time, your browser can keep a few settings on your computer: layouts you set up, how your columns match, which banks accepted your test file, an export history with dates, totals and the last 4 digits of an account, and, only if you tick "Remember," an encrypted account number or a bank's company ID. These stay in your browser's storage on that computer. Clearing your browser's site data for BankFileKit deletes them.
What our servers store
Only what we need to run your account and plan:
- your email address
- your plan and license status
- how many full files you've exported (a number only, with no file details), which we use to apply the refund policy
- the records that keep you signed in: one-time sign-in links and sign-in sessions, stored only as scrambled hashes that can't be turned back into the links
- the customer and subscription IDs our payment provider gives your purchase, so we can match payments to your plan
We don't store your name, phone number, IP address, payment card details or anything from your files.
Cookies
When you sign in, we set two cookies:
- a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days
- a cookie that only tells the page to show "Account" instead of "Sign in"
We don't use advertising, tracking or social media cookies.
Analytics
We don't run analytics on BankFileKit today. If we start counting visits, we'll use only Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies, and we'll update this page first.
Who helps us run BankFileKit
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the database that holds the account details listed above. Like any web host, it handles your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks, under its own privacy policy.
- Resend sends sign-in emails, so it receives your email address.
- Our payment provider, the reseller and merchant of record named at checkout, handles checkout, payment details, billing address, sales tax and invoices under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Emails we send
We send sign-in links and emails about your account, plan and these policies. We don't send marketing emails unless you opt in. Account and billing emails are always sent.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete them from our database right away, and backup copies are gone within 30 days. Our payment provider keeps purchase records as the law requires.
Your choices
You can see your account details, and delete your account, from your account page once you're signed in. You can also email bankfilekit.support@atomicmail.io to ask for a copy of what we store, a correction or deletion. We answer every request, wherever you live.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Sign-in links work once and expire after 15 minutes. Because your files never reach our servers, there are no check details or account numbers on our side to leak.
Children
BankFileKit is a business tool and isn't meant for anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For changes that affect what we store, we'll also email account holders before they take effect.
