Terms of Service
Last updated 10/30/2026
These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL NAME], a sole proprietor doing business as BankFileKit ("BankFileKit," "we" or "us"). They cover the BankFileKit website and its tools. By using BankFileKit, you agree to these terms. If you use BankFileKit for a business or for clients, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for them.
What BankFileKit does
BankFileKit turns a check list or payment list you provide, such as a QuickBooks report or an Excel file, into the file format your bank asks for. All file processing happens in your browser. BankFileKit doesn't connect to your bank, send files to your bank, move money or see the files you make.
Your responsibility for every file
You must review every file before submitting it to your bank. You are solely responsible for the files you upload to your bank and for the payments, checks and account details they contain. BankFileKit creates files from the data you provide. It does not send payments, verify payees or guarantee that your bank will accept a file.
Before you rely on a bank format or a layout for the first time, send your bank a test file and wait for the bank to confirm it was accepted. Bank formats on BankFileKit are built from each bank's published file spec. Banks can change their specs without telling us. A layout you set up yourself ("your layout") is yours, not a format verified by your bank or by us.
ACH files: when the ACH tool launches, you must already be approved by your bank to upload ACH files. BankFileKit doesn't arrange that approval.
Free preview and paid plans
Uploading, matching columns, checking, previewing and a test file with the first 3 checks are free and don't need an account. Downloading a full file needs an account with an active paid plan. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page.
- Business plans cover one company: one business and its own bank accounts.
- Bookkeeper plans cover up to 15 companies, for bookkeepers and accountants making files for their clients.
A plan is for you and the people on your own team. Don't share your account outside your business.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email to you. Keep access to that email address secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in. You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away at bankfilekit.support@atomicmail.io if you think someone else has used it.
Payments, renewals and cancellation
Plans are sold through our reseller, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. It's named at checkout and on your receipt. It handles checkout, payment, sales tax, invoices and billing questions, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
Plans are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. If a price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal.
Refunds
Full refund within 14 days of purchase, only if no files have been exported. Free test files (first 3 checks) don't count as exports. See the refund policy for how to ask for one.
Acceptable use
Don't use BankFileKit to:
- make files for accounts, checks or payments you aren't authorized to handle
- commit fraud or break any law or bank rule
- get around the download limits or license checks, or resell access to BankFileKit
- overload, attack or try to break into our servers
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Your data
Your files stay on your computer, so we can't see, recover or fix them for you. The privacy policy explains what our servers store: your email address, plan, license status and how many files you've exported.
Changes to BankFileKit
We keep improving BankFileKit, which means adding and updating bank formats and features. We may change or stop parts of the service.
No warranty
BankFileKit is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free or always available, or that your bank will accept any file.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including bank fees, returned or unpaid checks, fraud losses, late payments or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim about BankFileKit is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending these terms
You can stop using BankFileKit and delete your account anytime. We can end these terms or suspend your account if you break them. Sections on your responsibility for files, no warranty and limit of liability still apply after that.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For changes that matter to paying customers, we'll also email you before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW].
